Class Projects
Project#1 Buffalo state, Photo array 2
As part of a college communication course, we were asked to create a photo array of 9 pictures depicting various scenarios and topics. To accomplish this task, I traveled to various places such as Bronx, NY, Delaware Park, and Houston gym in order to see a wide range of subjects and gain inspiration. Upon finishing the assignment, I found myself content with the work I did. Located below is my take on the assignment.

Photo 1- Beauty of Delaware lake (beauty vs ugly)
Photo 2- Ugliness of Delaware lake
(beauty vs ugly)
Photo 3- The action block (sport action shot)
Buffalo State's Drew Bowman, a sophomore, blocks a double spike from Penn State Behrend in a climactic volleyball conference championship on April 11th, 2026. The Bengals sweep the Lions for the 2026 championship.
The first two photos will depict close-ups of a beautiful subject and an ugly subject. This photo presents what I believe to be the most beautiful aspect of Delaware Lake.
Next is my depiction of the ugliness of the lake, and what could be more ugly than pollution.

Photo 4- Almost there (sport feature shot)
Buffalo State's Bengals prepare for the final set of the 2026 AMCC championship. Excitement is high as the Bengals look to end the season with a comfortable lead against Penn State Behrend.

Photo 5- Victory (spot news)
Buffalo State's Men's Volleyball Crowned AMCC conference champions over Penn State Behrend. The Bengals sweep the Lions 3-0, claiming the title for 2026 champions.

Photo 6- Nightly travels (transport)
This photo depicts the various methods of transportation available to nighttime travelers in the Bronx, NY. It serves as a POV shot of a nighttime traveler walking through the city, surrounded by many transportation options, such as cars, scooters, trains, and walking.

Photo 7- The working glass (working shot)
This photo is my interpretation of the working class. It's called "The Working Glass" because I wanted to highlight the piece of glass between the worker and the viewer. Blue-collar workers are seen every day, yet severely underappreciated and taken advantage of. They are often seen as less than those in higher classes, creating a disconnect where you can see them, but we are still divided, like the viewer and the worker behind the glass.

Photo 8- Fallen nature (Problem vs. solution)
In Buffalo, there's a growing concern about the loss of trees in the community, and this picture depicts a fallen tree in Delaware Park.

Photo 9 - Rising beauty (Problem vs. solution)
In response to the growing concern about Buffalo losing its trees, Olmsted students embark on a venture to plant more trees in the Japanese Garden at Delaware Park.
